It’s true. We’re brand new! Ahead of our Epic Word Adventure mobile game launch this September, we’re thrilled to unveil our new style. As you can see, it’s pretty bold!
Our hot new look takes its inspiration from two main sources: micromobility and street art. Scooters and graffiti! Did that get your attention? Good, because holding a child’s attention is half the battle in education.
Welcome to the scooter revolution
As any parent in 2019 knows, kids can’t get enough of scooters. Scooters turn the boring journey to school into a high-octane adventure. They represent freedom. And for the world at large, micromobility in the form of electric scooter sharing may just be the future of urban transport. Embrace them or be left behind!
Graffiti: the original form of self-expression
We love a bit of street art here at Mrs Wordsmith. But there are plenty of cultural and historical reasons why we love graffiti too.
Writing on walls is one of the oldest and most enduring ways for people to express themselves. It was practised by Ancient Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, and Mayans to declare love, express political beliefs, and make art.
Graffiti has been used by archaeologists to provide insights into levels of Ancient Roman literacy through the errors in spelling and grammar it contains. And the word graffiti itself originates from Greek γράφειν—graphein—meaning "to write". Now that’s very Mrs Wordsmith.
Our epic adventure is only just beginning
Our new look marks an exciting moment in Mrs Wordsmith’s mission to propel word learning into the 21st century. We can’t wait to take you along for the ride.
